Dallas Cowboys Stadium

This morning we got up early to go to the Dallas Cowboys old stadium. The are giving tours of the old place before they actually tear it down. It was actually really amazing the things they still had in there. Without all the electronic stuff, and chairs, and other things that come with a stadium, it looks massive. Twice as big as if you had all that other stuff in it. It is wierd that just because they built a new stadium that you have to tear the old one down. You would think that you could use such a big building for something else instead of wasting so much money. After that expereince we decided to go to to go get some food. Went to this sports bar called Bostons. I ususally dont see it anywhere except in Dallas. It is really nice sports bad and has about anything you want. I ordered a Chicken Salad this with a small Avacado Pizza. Have to say it was simply amazing. Well that was my story for the morning. Hopefully i have some more here soon about this trip.

Traveling Again after Football

I have decided that since football is over. I am going to take every oppurtuity to get some traveling done. I am thinking Las Vegas, Barbosa, Colorado somewhere. Maybe even Alaska. Just noticed how much i love being away and expereiencing the world. I know that i wont get alot done next year that i will be playing alot more. So might as well as take every oppurtunity that i can get. I have talked to my parents a little bit about it. They said that if i can get a job this semester and save a bunch of money up to pay for three trips that they would pay for a fourth one to anywhere i want to go. They like me traveling because they think it builds experience and character. The more you learn the more of a versital human being you will become. The more customes and languages i can kind of learn the better off i will be someday with a job. The more stories i can have of actual experience during a job interview the more the teachers will like it. So i have a little bit of a journey cut out for me this spring semester. I think i am ready for it though.

Billy Bobs Succesful

It was a very succesful night at Billy Bobs. I paid for it in the morning. But well worth it. We got there and got in, sat down to order a few drinks. At first it was kind of lame at first, but soon got a lot better. People starting showing up. And by people i mean girls :). That wasn't even the best part though. At about 10 pm a surprise celebrity showed up to perform. Noone even seen that coming, but Miranda Lambert got on stage and lit the place up. I was shocked to see her just so casually doin that but i guess when your a big star you can sacrifice that if you have money. She sang for about an hour. Everyone was pumped up and sweaty from dancing and singing so much, that when she finally just came out to mingle everyone just thought of her as part of the crowd and didnt make to big of deal about it. That made the evening just as fun. By about 130 am i was getting a little on the way side and finally we called a taxi to come get us and take us home. Overall a succesful night.

Arriving at Sisters House

Got here at my sisters house in Dallas about 2 hours ago. It has been kind of crazy since i got here. We hugged and did all that stuff, then sat down to have a few drinks and just talk about what has been going on in each others life as of late. It was nice to catch up with her and talk about stuff. From there we went out back and i jumped in the pool. It is 80 degrees here, compared to the staggering 24 degrees back home. So i did that and sis had to go back to work for awhile and finish out her day. So i kind of passed out becuase i am still exhausted from all the finals i had taken. Kinda of had a sucky semester at School, but that isnt a topic for this conversation. After i woke up i checked my phone to see who trying calling me. To my surprise i had several. The best one was my sister saying that we would be going to Billy Bobs tonight. In case you havent ever heard of that. It is a big ass bar in Fort Worth that has alot of famous country singers come through every night. Im going to save that for another story though. So for now enjoy your night. And i will reply soon with the answers of the night at Billy Bobs.

Trip to Dallas

Well i am currently in the airport at Kansas City waiting to board the plane to go to Dallas. I am looking forward to it because it has been awhile since i have been anywhere. Because of football, it has held me back from traveling and seeing new sites. This trip is extra special to be because i am going to see my sister to hang out with her.

At an early age we never got along. Actually we literally fought all the time and it was horrible. As of the last 5 years though we have seemed to get along alot better and actually hang out in public together now (haha).

I dont really know what we are going to do while we are in Dallas, but i do know that it will be fun whatever it is. She said she had a lot of surprises for me when i get there. It is time to get on the plane now!! I am super excited and will reply once i find out what is going to happen in Dallas.

Life In the Fast Lane

I am always competing in my own mind with my friends and others who talk about where they have been around the world. They always talk about where they have been what they have see. In the back of my mind i am always like. What have i done that more exciting and where do i need to go to say i am the ultimate traveler. Sounds very corny but it is just how i am. I want the edge over anyone i can get when it comes to have some kind of personal experience in the world. I feel as if you learn a lot more by actually going and doing something then you can ever get in a class room or book. Just like a astronaught. They do so much simulation time and other stuff to prepare to go up in space. But when it comes time to the real thing the view and way ya think is completely different. That is why i want to live in the fast lane. Want to have that cutting edge over everyone and get smarter everyday from real world examples.

What would be a Good HoneyMoon

Jamaica!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It would be the perfect place for a Honeymoon. I think it would be so relaxing and care free. All the pictures and videos that you always see in the movies and such are always dreamy. From a hotel overlooking the beach with palm trees and sun shining down on us. Drinking Pina Coladas. Yummy. The only thing is that i sure hope that i can afford it when the day finally comes.

Internships

I already said in my last blogs that i am really trying to get a internship with Southwest Airlines, making calls and emails trying to get a connection. But in this case people always have to have a back up because everything in life doesnt work out the best. I pretty much got a shoe in for a internship with milwaukee tools in Milwaukee, WI. It would give me th chance to travel to a new city to live and meet new contacts for future jobs and connections. The only reason i got this internship is because my sister currently works for them and has got me the hook up. In todays world its all about who ya know, and little less with what ya know. We do all this work with college which i think it is good because it teaches us the basics. I think though college is just a network kind of like Facebook or something. It lets you expand your connections and meet people so you can find a good job someday. Except we are paying a shit ton for it. It was paid off though because it has informed me how to get my name out there in the real world.

All Talk

Many people today are all talk about what they want to do with there lives. I have been noticing a trend with some of the people i talk with here at Northwest. Everyone has crazy and exciting dreams that they love to shout from the rooftops. Not many of them actually do it though. I hear stories of i am going overseas to do this and get a job doing this and so on. Well it pisses me off when people dont follow through. I have seen many people with great character and the quality to do any job but they just say its to hard and dont do it. Not all of it is there fault. Things like Northwest doesn't do enough to get people jobs and internships. They have some dont get me wrong. Its always the same ones though. Every year Cerner comes, as well as seed companies, and so on the same exact one. We need to branch out at Northwest and get known for a high level of successful people going into the world. How many celebrities or people making Millions came from Northwest? There are several but not as many as there should be. Maybe it is a lack of money. If that is the case the kids are willing to raise money, but some just need more guidance in the right direction to do this.

Perfect Traveling Job

Southwest Airlines has slowly been becoming my number 1 future job if i could somehow get the job in sales i wanted. I have read up on them a lot and what they offer as far as money and other things, like free flights for all people working for them and a bunch of other things. Also that they are just a fun group to work with. My aunt worked in the marketing area for southwest. She said it was always a mystery when coming to work She always had fellow business people playing tricks on each other and just having a good time while working and getting stuff done. That is why i want to go into sales with Southwest because they offer free flights and a fun atmosphere to work under. My next goal to get this dream job that i am currently working on is a internship in there management area and hopefully that will help me get some connections.

New Years 2011

New years is going to be a lot different this year. I can not wait to bring it in with a bang. Being 21 will makes this year a lot more spectacular then most year. No other way then to go to the Power and Light district in Kansas City. Endless bars with so many different types of people to meet and share a great memory with. I have been to Power and Light once before for a Hank Williams Jr concert. It was a free concert and that is why they let underage people in, but as soon as it was over they kicked all the underage people out. My friends that were 21 said they had a blast and that i would HAVE to come back as soon as i turned of age. Hope to see everyone there and be ready for a amazing time! Happy New Year :)

Finals 2010

No picture or video can describe how i am feeling about these pictures this year. I got 2 papers that are 4 pages long each with a 145 question test all in the same class and it is putting a lot of stress on me this year. It is for a class that might make my thinking of the world expand in a new direction but it wont help me in the real world. So while I sat frustrated the other night in the library trying to do my last essay i took a little Facebook break and started talking to a old friend. He currently lives in Dallas and sounds like he is living the life. Becoming a chiropractor, while working at a bar and having a blast every night. We talked a little more about life and finally before we got done talking he told me to come visit him and he would show me a good time. I said i was done with finals Wednesday and that i could come then. He said "Hell ya". I got a flight booked to dallas for Wednesday after my final in that class i talked about above. That helped relieve some stress and motivates me to finish up the Fall semester of 2010!

Lookin Ahead to SPRING BREAK BABY

What can i say! Spring Break is closer then ya think and need to start preparing for it. Since i am now 21, i want to go somewhere and let loose. Key West sounds like the perfect place to do this. I have been there once before when i was 20 and it was an absoulet blast. The people you meet are very entertaining to say the least and the bars and attractions are a blast as well. There was a bad called Irish Kevins that my parents and I went to and it had everything from the Irish beer that i wish i could of had since i am Irish heritage, as well as naked girls dancing and singing. Couldn't get much better then that. Though my parents were a blast i would like to go back withs some friends of my own and experience it in a whole new way. Look out Key West here we come!

Trip to Duluth

What a sight! This is a picture of Duluth, MN in the fall. I just got back from a trip there to play a football game. It was absoultly freezing there but it was the most beautiful place i have been to in a long time. The snow on the ground making everything white as can be. With brand new building everywhere that were awesome to look at with a hotel room over looking the great superior lake. I decided that i would like to move there during college but i dont think that will actually happen. So as of when i graduate i will be looking to go there for some kind of job. I know it gets cold there but when you met the people there and smelled the fresh air it was all worth it. The people were so nice and would do anything for anyone it seemed. Kind of life that i would like to raise a family in someday.

What a RUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This really has nothing to do with traveling except for the fact that i got to find a place i could do this. I have always wanted to jump off a cliff with a flying squirrel costume on so that i could feel the rush of flying. It has been on my bucket list for the past couple years and something i often look up in my free time. The point of this is that you can jump from any high cliff or plane and you can spread your arms and legs out and just fly across the sky without free falling so fast. As you get closer to the ground you pull your parachute and land. Everyone usually has skydiving on there bucket list but i always want to take it one step further then everyone else and by this way it is the ultimate skydiving. Before i have kids and get married i will do this!! IT WOULD BE THE ULTIMATE RUSH

traveling disabilities

This is just a picture of a person with a disability that is stepping beyond what people say she can do and is learning to fly. That isn't always the case though. Many people with disabilities are not getting out as much anymore and actually flying places. They feel as if they are making there loved ones and others do to much for them. And places like mexico and other places dont have the right access ramps and such to make it people with disabilities. I read these blogs that people are saying all this and i feel horrible. Not because they in a wheel chair or have a disability. Its because they are holding back in there lives. As a fellow pilot (well half way to getting my licence) i worked with a girl in my class who had a disability and she always talked about how the only way she deals with the stress at times of having a disability is that she can travel and see the world. She knows it isnt always easy to get around but yet does it anyway because of her desire to travel. When i saw her get in that plane for the first time, i was smile from head to toes because she looked happier than ever and nothing could take that moment from her.
